Spring Creek Lodge Academy - Montana

Anyone out there with children - especially daughters - at Spring Creek Lodge Academy - BEWARE!

Word is that "Mr. Mike" and "Mr. Dana" (last names available upon request) like the female students a little too much.

"Mr. Mike" has a habit of showing up at the girls dorm right at shower time and lights-out when the young ladies aren't fully dressed.

"Mr. Mike" also seems to be the one who always gets the job of forcibly taking "resistant" girls to the Hobbit (now given the kinder, gentler name of "intervention").

On at least one occasion, he invited some boys to come into the Hobbit and throw water and bugs on a girl and call her a "whore."

"Mr. Dana" likes to call the girls "cutie", "babe", and "gorgeous".

Interestingly enough, he has set up an office in the corner of the girls dorm.

Does anyone else out there think giving adult men positions of absolute authority over teenage girls is just WRONG??

And it appears that Spring Creek Lodge Academy will hire just about anyone.

There is already at least one staff member who doesn't even have a high school diploma.

3 staff members were recently caught using meth at the facility, but only ONE was fired.

And, there's "Mr. Jim." (last name available upon request)

"Mr. Jim" was fired a while back after he kicked a boy in the ribs, then threw the kid down some stairs where he landed face-down in the snow.

"Mr. Jim" has been re-hired now that his victim is no longer at the facility.

This fact might explain why things work the way they do up at Spring Creek Lodge.

It seems that the Sanders County Sheriff's Department was getting a grant to pay for its resource officers.

Well, that grant ran out so Spring Creek Lodge Academy is now picking up the tab.

Tranquility Bay - Jamaica

This facility never ceases to amaze me.

Along with claiming to be able to fix everything from "parental disrespect" to drug "addiction", now the staff of untrained Jamaicans can apparently fix epilepsy as well!

There is at least one child at the facility right now that is epileptic and requires regular medication.

Considering that the facility has NO DOCTORS on staff, I find this terrifying to say the least.

Something tells me Jay Kay hasn't contacted the American Medical Association to inform them of his breakthrough treatment for the disease...

And in case you missed it, 2 boys ran away from Tranquility Bay during Hurricane Emily.

They were found and returned, probably by locals needing the reward money that Jay Kay is rumored to offer.

This article ran in the local papers and it's full of inconsistencies.

Normally, this wouldn't mean much but NO information gets out of Tranquility Bay without Jay Kay's approval so that leads me to believe that even Jay isn't sure about what kind of facility he's running.

Here's what I'm talking about:

• The headline and the first paragraph refer to Tranquility Bay as a "treatment center".

Treatment centers typically have doctors on staff.

Tranquility Bay doesn't.

• Paragraphs 3 and 4 call Tranquility Bay a "school".

• The headline refers to the boys as having "escaped".

I didn't think kids "escaped" from a school...

• Paragraph 5 calls the departure of the 2 boys a "breakout."

This one is actually dead-on, because Tranquility Bay isn't a "school" or a "treatment center."

It's a private prison for kids. Get it straight next time, Jay.

Discovery Academy - Utah

According to a former student, there was a sexual assualt on a male student at the facility in April of this year.

School officials did not report the crime to authorities and no action was taken against the offenders.

I'm willing to bet the victim didn't receive any medical treatment either.
